Give Us a god to Worship

Give Nigerians a good cause and see them respond.

The uncanny almost pathetic need to idolize an image-person or ideology-in the name of belief is simply horrific! This sick deep need to worship is ingrained in humans to connect with the Creator but sadly humans countless Nigerians have this misunderstood and abused. From the golden calf incident in Exodus 32 to ‘my Pastor said-my Imam said’ mantra spilling uncontrollably from fanatical lips of millions, many Nigerians go around clueless blissfully brainwashed simply swallowing propelled beliefs, theories, trends and ideas like Starch and Banga line, hook and sinker without finding out the Truth for themselves. Most do not even care to find out as these peddled falsehoods expediently allow them live without morals while they maintain the status quo of ‘the religious’ in the society; Others simply twist the Truth to suit wicked convictions..
Again, the misplaced transference of reverence for God has totally altered the true intent of true belief and has invariably created chaos in the system as conversion and distortion of the original intent to suit self-purpose has destroyed meaningful existence. One might say this misplaced transference could be linked to the failure of the Government to provide and protect its citizens. With failed Health, Transport, Housing and Employment sector _ just to name a few, Nigerians are constantly and desperately on the lookout for alternatives and ‘solutions’ to stacking problems. These vacuums created must indeed be filled hence taking solace in religious houses and dubious survival methods.
Give Us a god They Cry.
Give Us an Alternative to purposeful existence.
